NET PRICED WINE
Winemaker Notes
Loads of black cherry, crushed strawberry, and sandalwoodtake center stage while secondary aromas of fresh cedar, clove, and sage create a stunningolfactory experience. Capitalizing on the mild summer temperatures created by ever-present fogand coastal wind, the vines rooted deeply in the sandy loam soils ripened these berries slowlyand methodically. The slow ripening process produced a wine of exception depth andconcentration, giving way to delicate notes of baking spice and toasted vanilla. Over time in theglass, the wines structured infancy evolves to soft and elegant approachability as tannin beginsto soften. The delicious Pinot Noir has all the components to age and evolve beautifully over thenext decade and beyond.

My favorite of the Pinot Noir releases, the 2021 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard comes from a terrific vineyard in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands. Mostly destemmed (10% whole clusters) and aged 11 months in 55% new French oak, it offers a gorgeous perfume of black raspberries, mulberries, spicy herbs, underbrush, and sandalwood that develops beautifully with time in the glass. These carry to a medium to full-bodied, concentrated Pinot Noir with ripe, polished tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. It's another stunning wine from this team.
