An all-natural, organically grown, no sulfites added Monastrell (Mourvedre) from the Alicante region of Spain shows all the best, textbook qualities of Monastrell that is making it an increasingly popular varietal. Lovely, deep garnet color with aromas and flavors of black fruit, plums, balsamic, eucalyptus, and a background of toasted wood nuances from 10 months in used American oak that provides hints of vanilla and sweet spices.
